Wednesday mornings are weightlifting days. There’s not a lot of different weightlifting training in CrossFit – deadlifts, clean and jerk, snatch, push jerk, push press, press, and squat – so things tend to repeat themselves fairly often. But that’s not to say it gets boring or uninteresting. I always have something to work on, whether it’s [...]
Today’s workout was 10 minutes of single kettlebell long-cycle clean and jerks, switching hands allowed, resting in clean position, but no setting the kettlebell down on the floor.
I used a 16kg (35lb) kettlebell and did 95 reps. This is harder than it sounds.

“When a person trains once, nothing happens. When a person forces himself to do a thing a hundred or a thousand times, then he certainly has developed in more ways than physical. Is it raining? That doesn’t matter. Am I tired? That doesn’t matter, either. Then willpower will be no problem.”

Noon’s weightlifting workout was squats – that means going below parallel, which is very hard!
Reps: 1-1-1-1-1
175-195-205-215-220
220lbs is a new PR for me.
Afterward we did a cool down workout of squats: 12-9-6 at 66% of our max. I did 145lbs. Thia is supposed to build up your strength.
