Last time I did this workout, I lifted 125lbs. Deciding to up the ante, I went for 135lbs. to my surprise, it didn’t seem as heavy as I had expected. Next time – heavier!

Today I did some work on the clean and jerk. I’ve been working with Mark on the “hip pop” which is the explosive second stage of the lift, just as the barbell clears the knees.

…literally. For some reason, I couldn’t keep up a good pace today, getting tripped up with the jump rope every 5 or 10 reps. One more thing to work on!!

21 power cleans @ 115#
50 double unders (or 150 singles)
15 squat cleans @ 115#
75 double unders (225)
9 clean and jerk @ 115#

Am I sore from yesterday's workout!! All those pullups and situps and squats and pushups!! It's enough to make me want to go back to step aerobics class!!
This morning's workout was no easier. There is no name for it. Maybe I'll call it, "Near Death Experience, 9/25/08."

Used a 26# KB as I only had 4 hours of sleep and was still very sore from yesterday's workout.
