Kipping pullups aren't "cheating," they're just a different kind of pullup. They are easier on the biceps and lats, but they activate muscle groups that you never would with a standard pullup (posterior chain, lower back, transverse abdominus, abs, upper quads, and even upper pecs!) The workout calls for muscle activation from the fingers through the core, as well as a high level of cardiovascular intensity, so only kipping pullups will do.

i dont really like this guy’s style of training.. he doesnt do it clearly. u have to do it slow and clear.. not jumping with your feet first

How you can critcise this guy is unbelievable to me.
This guy is the best at what he does, and kipping pull-ups are one of the best exercises you can do. They are great for developing power and as a metabolic conditioning tool.

Pushups are awesome but the pullups break every rule of proper form
It’s only ‘cheating’ for the muscles targetted, and it’s much more desirable than using an assisted machine or something if you’re going for more volume. It’s never wussy, it’s cool if it lets you do more and is good for overall fitness.
I like those pullups even if they are kipping and I agree that they are just different kind of pullups like chinups. Good work

how is this sick? it takes a lot of training to be able to do these gymnastics feats. endurance, strength, flexibility… id like to see you try to do this
good training, the day will come when the arm muscles are a little less important to ya, but you will always be thankful for a good strong heart and lungs.
