These guys seem to be having a race, they do what I have been told is called a Fran routine with both kiping pullups and squat thrusts w/ 135 pounds, but this is something you have to see to believe. The pullups are not cheating TRY IT they are really hard to do, but the squats are equally as difficult if not more so... plus no rest... this is truely amazing.. TRY IT BEFORE YOU COMMENT!

I wouldn’t call Fran easy, not by any stretch of the imagination. It’s one of the benchmarks ones actually. They do it so fast because they are so annoyingly good.

If they’re doing it as prescribed they are doing 95lbs for the thrusters.
I don’t think that is 135 lbs. Crossfit uses large weight plates with small weight. I would think that is two 25’s.

On the contrary. Without getting into my education in the fields of exercise mechanics and neuromechanics I can assure the ignorance is solely on the other side. I only watched a few of these ‘cross-fit’ videos because a colleague of mine thought it was a good laugh.
btw, every single rep of those ‘chin-ups’ were a completely different exercise, especially considering they increasingly broke inertia with hip and knee flexion. Random force prescription at it’s finest.
The lifting form used seems pretty good to me…I have seen much worse. As for your statements regarding the Crossfit creators’ lack of knowledge, your ignorance is evident. Why not do some research before posting about topics of which you have no idea. Just my opinion.
Wow check out those joint forces!!! Lemme know how the arthritis feels after 10-15 years of training like dumbasses. Obviously a workout regimen with no regard or knowledge of forces, tissue mechanics, joint structure and function, and plain old risk vs. benefit.

I did the regular gym thing for two years, then switched to crossfit 3 months ago. No comparison. Crossfit is the shit. My favorite workout is Linda. DL 1.5x bodyweight, bench bodywgt., and clean 3/4 bodywgt. 10 reps each, then 9, then 8… Incredible workout.
it’s a middle of the road cf workout, maybe even on the easy side given that some (like these two) can complete it in ~3 minutes.
MCpeepantzz is right, 155 is weak as shit, ESPECIALLY for seated military, i bet you couldnt even do 135 standing, Fran is a very hard workout, i should know myself bc i have a video of me on here doing it! type in crossfit sam fran and you’ll see it, crossfitters have bodybuilders and powerlifters beaten in every aspect and domain of fitness try me
