The Saturday morning Jug ‘o Pain workout

As noted here before, Saturday's workouts are not pre-determined. They are chosen at random from the (in)famous Jug 'o Pain - a 5-gallon water bottle filled with ping pong balls, each of which has one exercise written on it.

Several exercises are withdrawn at random from the Jug, much as lottery, or if you prefer, bingo, numbers are chosen. The "winning" numbers comprise the "hopper" workout.

So, this morning's workout was a doozy (as usual):

For time:

  • Row 500 meters (on rowing machine)
  • Broadjump burpees (go about 100 ft)
  • Walking lunges holding two 24kg (53lb) kettlebells (100 ft)
  • 25 kettlebell snatches each arm (24kg/53lb kettlebell)
  • 25 tuck jumps (jump with knees as close to chest as possible)
  • 25 kettlebell snatches each arm (24kg/53lb kettlebell)
  • Walking lunges holding two 24kg (53lb) kettlebells (100 ft)
  • Broadjump burpees (go about 100 ft)
  • Row 500 meters (on rowing machine)
